Roger Federer in the quarter-final of the Stockholm Open on Thursday his 900th match in the ATP Tour, beating Taylor Dent of the United States 6-1, 6-2.

Federer needed only 51 minutes to earn his 727th victory in the Tour. It was his first match in the Swedish capital in a decade. “When I look back in 98, I played my first, 900 games later, it’s crazy. But I did it so well. I have a good win-loss record,” said Federer. “I could not ask for a better career.

” The second-seeded Robin Soderling also advanced, delighting the home crowd. American wild card James Blake and fourth-seeded Croatian Ivan Ljubicic and evolved. Federer took 17 minutes to win the first set. 16-time Grand Slam winner has twice.

    Such an awesome feat considering it was an exhausting 44 degrees.
