Walt Disney World Resorts:

People think about Disneyland as the happiest spot all over the world. Disneyland is the first choice of every family holiday resort. With two water parks, four theme parks, two health spas, countless fitness centers and 24 in-site themeed resort hotels, who doesn’t want to spend their holiday in Disneyland? If you are one of the few people who do not have intention of visiting Disneyland, check below to see other options.

Universal Orlando Resorts:

Universal studios is the second largest holiday resort in the state, and is old Walt’s biggest competitor. The resort consists of two theme parks, Universal Citywalk (which is a night time entertainment hub) and three hotels. There are obvious benefits of staying at their hotels but a private vacation rental in the locality is the better option if you are looking to trim some serious dollars off the cost of your holiday.

The Universal Studios Florida theme park was the first of the two to open and the theme of the park is to let the visitors “Ride the movies”. Most of the attractions in this park are based on famous films or television shows. The key attractions? Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride which is an awesome indoor roller coaster; there are a few 3d/4d rides such as Terminator 2: 3-D Battle Across Time and Shrek 4d; they have tons of other rides and attractions based on films such as Men in Black, Jaws and E.T. The only attraction that isn’t based on a film or program is the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit which is a roller coaster with an unique twist. Each seat has a speaker in the headrest and riders can choose what music they can listen too.

Then there is the other theme park: Islands of Adventure. Like the other park its attractions are also based around film and TV. Its different areas feature great attractions; in Marvel land they have The Incredible Hulk Coaster one of America’s most thrilling rollercoasters and The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man – an unmissable 3d experience. In Toon Lagoon, water rides are the flavour – on rides such as Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges “getting wet” is an serious understatement as on this ride you get ridiculously drenched and soaked – it even warns you with these words at the start of the ride “YOU WILL GET WET”. In the newly developed Wizarding World of Harry Potter section of the park guests get to walk through the recreated halls of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade village. In this section of the park there are three rides: Dragon’s Challenge, the world’s only duelling inverted roller coaster, Flight of the Hippogriff – a tamer, but still fun roller coaster, plus the last attraction – Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey – which sees visitors taken on a tour inside Hogwarts Castle.

SeaWorld Parks:

SeaWorld Orlando is not only a theme park, but a marine life based zoological park. It also has a separate water park called Aquatica and a dolphin preserve called Discovery Cove. The main park of SeaWorld has a lot of animal exhibitions, rides and live shows. Aquatica is a recent water park that features the usual water park features such as water flumes and pools. The signature ride is the Dolphin Plunge which has dual tube waterslides going through a pool of Commersons dolphins. Discovery Cove is a place where people can interact with aquatic life. Visitors can schedule to swim with Dolphins. They are taught by dolphin trainers, go through all the health and safety procedures, shown hand signals and how positive reinforcement encourages the dolphins to perform certain tricks. The swim lasts for roughly 30 minutes; guests will get a photos with the dolphin.

Wet-N-Wild Orlando:

Wet n’ wild is a water park, considered the first major water park in the United States when it was founded in 1977. This is a park that is very highly rated.

If you are staying Orlando its best to stay in a vacation rental, as to be honest you’ll be able to get around all the theme parks very easily; as everything is near each other.

Busch Gardens:

Busch Gardens located in Tampa Bay is an Animal theme park with an African setting. It’s a park which mixes the peace and tranquility of African Safari with the adrenaline of an American theme park. They have various wildlife there: gorillas and chimpanzees, lions, hippos and plenty more birds and beasts. The main rides at the park are Montu, Kumba, Sheikra and Gwazi those four have been constantly highly rated in many rollercoaster awards. You could say its the Sea World of…the land.

Kennedy Space Center:

There is the Kennedy Space Center which serves as the base for the USA’s three space shuttles. It also offers many exhibits and personal experiences. You can take a bus tour that will take you through unrestricted NASA areas. Also the public are allowed to come watch if you are there for a launch!

These are just some of the few parks that Florida has to offer there are more but these are the best alternatives to the house that the Mouse built.
